Metropolitan Retail is looking for 6 young, dynamic and career driven individuals to join us for a 12 month practical internship within our Life Events Solutions division at our office at Parc du Cap, Bellville, Cape Town.

Responsibilities

Interns will gain exposure in and learn about the following:

  • Data clean-up & automation
  • Bank Debit Order Switches
  • Lapse Exception Reports
  • Policy Maintenance
  • Customer Data Management
  • Group policy cashback
  • Enrolment updates
  • Broker Notes
  • RA’s and Preservation Funds
  • Claims
  • Unclaimed Benefits

Requirements

  • Matric with Mathematics or Accounting is advantageous
  • A suitable qualification from a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College in Business Management or a National Diploma / BTech from a recognized institution.
  • Excellent academic results (proof of academic transcripts required)
  • Qualification must require a practical component for completion if from a TVET College
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer Literacy
  • Able to speak at least one additional African language
  • EE candidates only
  • Currently unemployed
  • Between ages 18 and 35
  • Clean Criminal record
  • A stipend will be offered
  • SA Citizen
