Minimum Qualification / Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered:
- Must be currently studying towards a Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Must be willing to learn and undergo structured training
- Must possess administrative and Microsoft Office skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and show initiative
- Must be medically fit in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful learners will be expected to:
- Complete the vacation work programme as part of practical learning
- Assist with maintenance projects within the plant
- Help improve maintenance efficiency and plant availability
- Conduct tests on products, analyse results, and identify areas for improvement
- Perform safety inspections within the plant and surrounding work areas
- Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives
- Assist with general maintenance activities and engineering support tasks
