About the Discovery Learnership Programme 2025

Discovery is offering dynamic and ambitious young South Africans the opportunity to join its Long Term Insurance Learnership Programme for 2025. This structured 12-month programme combines theoretical learning with practical work experience in the financial services and medical aid administration sectors, enabling learners to earn an NQF Level 4 qualificationin Long Term Insurance.

This opportunity is ideal for youth seeking a career foundation in client servicing, health benefits administration, claims processing, and new business support within the Discovery Health team.


What the Programme Offers

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate is essential
  • Mathematics: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
  • English: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
  • Mathematical Literacy: Minimum Level 5 (60%)
  • Second Language: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Excel and Outlook)
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English

Additional Eligibility Criteria

  • South African citizen, aged 18 to 25 years
  • Not currently employed or engaged in post-Matric studies
  • Must not have completed any previous Learnerships
  • Applicants with incomplete tertiary qualifications may be considered an advantage
  • Preference will be given to Employment Equity (EE) candidates and persons with disabilities
