About the FNB Learnership Programme 2025

The FNB Learnership Programme is a 12-month initiative aimed at empowering young South Africans with essential workplace skills and exposure to real-world business environments. Participants will complete a registered learnership qualification while gaining hands-on experience at various FNB branches across the country.

This programme is designed to improve employability, build confidence, and provide a strong foundation for a successful career in the banking and finance industry.

Participants will be placed across multiple business areas, including:

  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Collections
  • FNB Cards
  • Private and Wealth Investments
  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Administration and Support
  • Catering

FNB seeks motivated, energetic, and customer-focused individuals who are eager to learn and grow within a dynamic, professional environment.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the FNB Learnership Programme 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be between 18 and 34 years old
  • Must have at least a Matric certificate (NQF 4) – Higher Certificates or Diplomas (NQF 5 or 6) are also accepted
  • Must be unemployed for at least 6 months
  • Must not be studying currently
  • Must have less than 12 months’ work experience (including part-time or casual work)
  • This must be your first job experience
  • Must not have participated in the FirstJob Programme or worked for FirstRand before
  • Must have a good command of English
  • Must have no criminal record or blacklisting
  • Must be willing to complete a learnership while gaining work experience
