Description: | The course provides for theories in music technology also to understand the musical equipments and skills to record, produce and programme music in a PCbased multi-track digital/analogue recording studio. |
Requirements: | • Minimum statutory NSC requirements for degree entry must be met. • English, Afrikaans or isiXhosa (home language or first additional language) on at least a level 3 (40–49%). • Mathematics 2 (30-39%) or Mathematical Literacy 3 (40-49%). • Practical standard equivalent to Grade 6 and music theoretical standard equivalent to Grade 5 is required. • Admission is subject to departmental selection based on an audition during which an applicant must demonstrate an acceptable performance standard. |
