The City of Johannesburg invites qualifying students from Johannesburg communities to apply for the Student Internship Programme 2025 in the Group Strategy, Policy Coordination and Relations (GSPCR) Department.
Duration: 18 Months

About the Internship
This internship provides work-based training and on-the-job exposure for qualifying students, offering critical experience in Corporate Performance Support within the Monitoring & Evaluation Branch. The programme is aimed at youth in Johannesburg who have not previously participated in any internship related to their field of study.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4)
- A completed 3-year Degree/Diploma (NQF Level 6/7) in one of the following:
- Public Policy
- Social Science
- Statistics
- Internal Audit
- Development Studies
- Public Administration / Management
- Monitoring & Evaluation
- Must be a resident of the City of Johannesburg
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with corporate performance management, evaluation, and reporting across the City
- Verify and evaluate performance data submitted in scorecards
- Support implementation and compliance with monitoring policies and procedures
- Manage admin and reporting related to the internship function
