Glencore SA invites unemployed graduates to apply for Internship Programme 2023 / 2024.

The internship programme provides recently qualified graduates with an opportunity to gain work experience in the mining and minerals sector through structured on-the-job training with the company in order to improve their chances of finding meaningful employment within the sector.

For the duration of this programme, interns must complete a structured two-year training and work exposure programme.

Training will be in line with the requirements as set out by the MQA and include on-the-job training and exposure, technical skills as well as soft skills training.

Graduate Internship Program available for the recently qualified graduates in the following disciplines:

  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering

  In this role you will be responsible for:

  • The incumbent will enter a student internship program with the MQA and will obtain working experience in their qualification discipline field at Glencore Boshoek Smelter.
  • The candidate will undergo practical training and exposure over a two-year period at the premises of the company
  • Compliance with the company’s HSECQ system is essential.
  • Ensuring implementation of management decisions, legal requirements, and the company standards/policies

 About you:

  • Grade 12
  • Must have completed appropriate degree in the field of discipline specified above
  • Computer Literate (MS Office)
  • Proficient in English written language
  • Achievement driven, accurate and timeous completion of assignments (result driven)
  • Ability to function independently with good interpersonal skills
