Komatsu South Africa invites unemployed youth to apply for Apprenticeship Programme 2024 / 2025.

Komatsu South Africa offers a 4-year Apprentice Program, providing hands-on experience and training in engineering and manufacturing.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 with Mathematics
• Location: Reside in Namakwa Sands or nearby areas
• Employment Status: Currently unemployed
• NQF Level 4 Subjects:
  • Mathematics or Technical Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy)
  • Physical Science or Technical Science
  • N3 Diesel Trade Theory and/or N3 Mechanotechnology
  • Engineering Graphic and Design

Job Specifications

• Learning: Acquire and understand technical skills under the guidance of experienced staff.
• Demonstration: Apply skills and perform tasks independently or as part of a team.
• Training Modules: Complete prescribed apprentice modules as per merSETA requirements.
• Health and Safety: Understand and practice workplace safety.
• Maintenance: Learn to maintain and repair workshop equipment.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain a logbook of projects and skills acquired.
• Housekeeping: Ensure good housekeeping and professional appearance.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other relevant tasks as required.
