About Modikwa Platinum Mine:

Modikwa Platinum Mine is a large underground mine located in the north-eastern part of South Africa, northwest of Burgersfort, Limpopo. It is situated within the Bushveld Igneous Complex. The mine, owned jointly by African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) and Anglo Platinum, has been in operation since the mid-1920s.

The Graduate Internship Programme at Modikwa Platinum Mine is offered in various mining-related disciplines, including:

• Mining Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Metallurgy
• Geology
• Rock Engineering
• Human Resources
• Accounting
• Safety
• Survey
• Information Technology
• Civil Engineering

Terms and Conditions:

• Candidates may be required to undergo a panel interview and psychometric assessments for selection purposes.
• Candidates should not have been enrolled in any previous internship programmes registered with a SETA.

Qualifications:

Selection of candidates will depend on:

• Completion of a Diploma or Degree in the specified mining-related discipline at the HET institution.
• In making the final selection, consideration will be given to attaining the objectives of the Mining Charter and Employment Equity Act.
