About the Internship Programme
Nyandeni Local Municipality is offering a 24-month Internship Programmewithin the Corporate Services Department. The programme is aimed at providing unemployed graduates with practical workplace experience in:
- Building maintenance
- Infrastructure support
- Facilities and fleet management
- Technical services
Interns will gain valuable exposure to municipal operations while developing practical skills in a structured working environment.

Available Internship Opportunities
1. Facilities & Fleet Management
- Field of Exposure: Building Maintenance and Repair
- Qualification Required: Certificate in Basic Plumbing
2. Building Maintenance and Repair
- Qualification Required: Certificate in Carpentry
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Be unemployed at the time of application
- Hold a relevant Degree, National Diploma, or Certificate from a recognised institution
- Have an interest in technical services, plumbing, carpentry, or infrastructure maintenance
Key Responsibilities
Interns will:
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs
- Support municipal facilities management operations
- Participate in infrastructure inspections and maintenance
- Work alongside experienced professionals
- Maintain workplace safety standards
- Attend training and development sessions
- Keep records of completed tasks and activities
