We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the Swiss Re Africa Client Markets team based in Cape Town. The team is responsible for managing key insurance clients and stakeholders across various markets and to present the Swiss Re value proposition in the right players at the right time.

This is a 12 month internship with an expected start date by 1st of September 2024 latest.

You will be working directly with the Client Markets team in Johannesburg and Cape Town as well as collaborating with other functions and departments including local underwriting, actuarial, claims, accounting and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as trusted person and manage calendars, meetings, travels for various colleagues in the team
  • Make and co-ordinate arrangements for various internal and external meetings and events; responsible for any administrative and logistic issues upon request
  • Provide administrative support to the short -term insurance and Life insurance teams
  • Assisting with all general administration and event preparation for Swiss Re Africa

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Management or Business Administration

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, organised, professional and proactive
  • Able to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization and be able to articulate ideas
  • Fluent in English
  • Curios to learn a variety of skills and understand systems quickly
  • Strong excel and power point skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks at once
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly with the highest level of integrity
  • You face challenges in a persistent and persevering manner
