Umgeni Water invites applications from unemployed suitably qualified graduates to be exposed to an experiential training that will result in the development of their technical knowledge leading to their registration as professional Planners with the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN).

Town Planners x 5

Minimum qualifications required

• A B-Tech/BScHons in Urban & Regional planning/Development planning is a requirement
  • A Master of Town & Regional Planning qualification will be an added advantage
  • An unendorsed valid Driver’s license is a requirement,

During the training, Graduates must successfully demonstrate all proficiencies as determined by
SACPLAN for the graduate development programme in their respective discipline.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

• We are looking for a results-driven person, a team player who is customer focused
• has knowledge of built environment principles and has an ability to apply this knowledge
• an ability to communicate
• well at all levels
• an ability to plan and organize workloads effectively to enhance performance.

First preference will be for the applicants who are permanent residents of the Msunduzi Local
Municipality. The programme is restricted to South African citizens.
