Takealot, in partnership with the Youth Employment Service (YES), invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the Digital Marketing Learnership Opportunity for 2025.
Learnership Application Closing Date: Open until filled (Apply ASAP)
Location: Various locations across Gauteng (primarily in townships and urban centres)
Duration: 12-month fixed-term contract
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
About the Programme
This YES Learnership gives young people the opportunity to gain valuable digital marketing and e-commerce work experience while supporting small businesses that sell on the Takealot Marketplace.
Note: You will be placed with SMMEs (Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises) — not directly employed by Takealot.
Programme Structure:
- 80%: Digital marketing & marketplace activities
- 20%: Exposure to general small business operations
- Mentorship and support by Takealot programme coordinators
What You’ll Do
- Provide professional customer service via phone and email
- Resolve customer issues using software tools and internal support
- Communicate effectively across departments to address queries
- Take ownership of customer interactions in line with Takealot’s values

Requirements
- South African citizen
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate
- Aged between 18 and 25 (preferred)
- Clear criminal record
- Must reside within 49km of a listed job location in Gauteng
- Must be unemployed and not currently in another learnership/training
